held at the old recycling site on Greasy Creek Road, between the 4-H Fair arena and the Brown County Highway Department.

What:

Bring your old appliances, water heaters, refrigerators, air conditioners, sheet metal, metal door frames, or anything that is mostly metal. The items will be taken off of your truck or out of your car for free. No charge for freon removal. We hire a contractor each year to handle the appliance recycling.

All freon appliances taken to Bloomington Metal and Kroots must have freon and compressors removed before disposal. We remove both for free at our Appliance Days.
