Where: Appliance/Scrap Metal Recycling Days are held at the old recycling site on Greasy Creek Road, between the 4-H Fair arena and the Brown County Highway Department.

What: Bring your old appliances, water heaters, refrigerators, air conditioners, sheet metal, metal door frames, or anything that is mostly metal. The items will be taken off of your truck or out of your car for free. No charge for freon removal. We hire a contractor each year to handle the appliance recycling. |

Bloomington iron and Metal (Bloomington) 503 N. Rogers 336-6884. Kroot Corporation (Columbus) 2915 State Street 372-8203. All freon appliances taken to Bloomington Metal and Kroots must have freon and compressors removed before disposal. We remove both for free at our Appliance Days.
